Janice holds numerous board memberships and affiliations including a position on the Advisory Board for the U.S. Department of Labor, in addition to being a Board Member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Over the years, Janice has also been honoured with multiple awards such as BET Honors, Entrepreneur of the Year in 2008, and the 2009 Power Networking Conference Phenomenal Woman Award. Janice has been featured in several international magazines and has even been a special guest on the Oprah Winfrey Show. She is also the author of "The Art of Work: How to Make Work, Work for You!", (released in 2009) in which she distills over 30 years of experience into a work/life balance guide for individuals wishing to further their personal and professional success.

Janice was recently interviewed by CNBC ‘Street Signs’ anchor Erin Burnett. During the live interview, Janice shared some astute and often uplifting insights on the thawing of the hiring freeze as indicated by the growth in Temporary staffing, which is the first way companies add human capital when the economy improves. Janice also weighs in on how companies now hire differently than they ever have, why small businesses are key to improving employment, and the American pioneering spirit.   Cheryl Probert

Cheryl Probert - Recruitment and Communications Specialist, Smuckers Cheryl Probert is the Recruitment & Communications Specialist for Smucker Foods of Canada. She is responsible for influencing strategy and executing activities around recruitment, as well as employee communications.

Cheryl grew up in Alberta and then moved to the east coast to attend Mount Allison University. Her university highlight was spending a year on exchange in Tuebingen, Germany while working towards her degree. She started her career at Electronic Data Systems, (EDS), where she spent over 10 years in a wide variety of roles. Since joining Smucker in 2007, Cheryl has leveraged her experience in sourcing and placing qualified candidates, resulting in her managing a successful increase of the talent pool at Smucker of around 30% since January 2009.

Outside the office, Cheryl is an avid cook and runner. In the last 4 years Cheryl has run 7 full marathons, with plans to run the Chicago Marathon with her running team in the Fall. She is a coach, mentor and frequent speaker at various Running Room locations in the GTA.
